Does what it says on the tin. There are other books that are more up to date but for the price I was very pleased.

Required for a college course, don't recall ever having to use it.

1.0 out of 5 stars s*** book, you probably won't even use it. 7 Jan. 2013

Let's face it. This book is essentially a glorified help file. Anything you find in this book can be found online, and if you've been asked to spend money on this piece of crap, chances are that your professor isn't good enough to get you to the point where you'll be using this book anyway. It's trade in value is just under 2 dollars, and I can understand why.
5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful book on excel trendlines and interpreting regression output 22 Feb. 2017
By Mike - Published on
Format: Paperback
Somewhat dated now only because Excel has changed quite a bit UI-wise since the last revision of this book however don't let that put you off. This is a fantastic book which can walk a total novice (me) by the hand through fitting trendlines properly and interpreting regression output. I love the book personally and I have come back to it many times over the years, I own the older version of the book as well. Excel hasn't changed much when it comes to following the steps in these areas so again I still feel the book is highly relevant, personally I use Excel 2010 and still find the book applies just fine. As for the author, I have nothing but great respect for him. I have seen him reply on math forums many times over the years helping people out and even helped me personally when I had a question about something we exchanged emails. In closing I have not come across another book like this when it comes to hand-holding the user through what is a tough subject for the math-challenged folks out there.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good fundamentals 14 Aug. 2009
By EvS - Published on
Format: Paperback
The book is a good fundamentals review of Excel capability for statistical data analysis. This type of book is good to have as a reference for those not using Excel stats every day. Simple, and clear how to do it which I like. Dr. Middleton's style is simple and straightforward as noted in other software and publications which is great for those of us who are not staticians but need statistics to help convey risk, variability and analysis conclusions.

3.0 out of 5 stars Data analysis using microsoft excel 21 Sept. 2008
By Abdallah Chbeir - Published on
Format: Paperback
The book is good: however, it is worth noting that I barely used. It was for a crash course in excel, and I worked for 2 years with excel, so I already was very comfortable with it. However it was a requirement for my course.
Nonetheless, the chapters I had to look at were very well explained.
