No Spoilers contained in this comment.

Firstly - it does help if you start with the Frank Miller Omnibus and work on from there. I know it's a few quid, but it is definitely worth it both for the background story that is referenced throughout the later series.

Secondly, whilst why Miller rightly deserves the credit for redefining Daredevil as a modern hero and setting the groundwork for those that have followed, I have to say that of those that have followed Brubaker and Lark upped the ante with both remarkable graphics and story telling. Their series is told in a very tight, concise manner, with a wonderful minimalist use of wording - I never quite realised just how much could be told without a single word being written.

This is probably the finest Comic Series I have read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brubaker + Daredevil = Awesome Comic Book series 4 Jan. 2015
By Chongo - Published on Amazon.com

By far one of my all time favorite characters. I absolutely love the twist & turns Brubaker brings to the world of Matt Murdock. Usually Frank Miller & Brian Bendis are the popular names when mentioning DD but personally, Brubaker has become my top name. He really know how to write this character & just "get's" him plus the he put's very gritty & realistic takes on various characters like Wilson Fisk, Tombstone, Hammerhead, etc. The brilliant, shadowy art & intelligent dialogue make this one excellent series. If there's any Marvel comic you'd want to check out, I'd have to highly recommend this one. This volume also proves why DD is one of the greatest characters in comics. 'Nuff said.
5.0 out of 5 stars Is it as good as the Bendis and Maleev run 22 Dec. 2016
By Matthew Paulsen - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
Brubaker's crime noir style of writing and Lark's noir style of art just work on Daredevil. Is it as good as the Bendis and Maleev run? No, but it didn't miss a beat from the end of that through this run either. Consider this the second best run on the character.

5.0 out of 5 stars Stop whatever you are doing and buy this now. 20 Dec. 2016

This is Daredevil at its best. I just finished the Bendis Maleev arcs and I thought that was some of the best DD writing I had ever seen...until I read this. If you read nothing else read these books.
5.0 out of 5 stars It's smart, yet accessible. 2 May 2015

I genuinely couldn't find any major flaws in this book. It's smart, yet accessible. Great art and dialogue. Perfect pacing, with great action. It's dark, but still has its needed moments of lightheartedness and good feelings. It's unpredictable. It's phenomenal.

I'd recommend this to anyone with any appreciation for awesome art and story-telling.
