This pack of cards was originally published with white boards and Black graphics on the boards. I believe this version is better though I have both sets. The booklet is okay but the real gem is the book that I have just reviewed about this Tarot - which goes into a lot more detail and if you are dedicated enough you will be still studying it forty-five years later as I am doing. The booklet only gives you a brief glimpse or nuance of what could be, rather than what will be. Both book and Tarot set are necessary to fully understand what is being taught - which is not always straight-forward, as the book is obtuse, and hides metaphor behind metaphor possibly to ten levels of security, to the point of being security-conscious to the nth degree. The coloured boards do lend some degree of indirect hints by what is meant by the stance, meaning of the card, the sexual aspects and anything else seen within the card. From this you will understand that this Tarot is really for the dedicated follower of the book by the same name.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful Tarot Deck 28 Dec. 2010
By luckyspirit - Published on Amazon.com

I am enchanted by this deck. This is the second Egyptian deck I have and I find them very pleasant to use for readings.

I have been fascinated by C.C. Zain and the Brotherhood of Light teachings. I would have bought this deck sooner if I'd known how attractive it is. The colors and artwork are exquisite. Gentle, refined pastels compliment the detailed figures and scenery.

The Minor Arcana will require some memorization if one relies primarily on the Rider-Waite style symbolism in perceiving meaning. But I find it quite easy and worth it if a deep understanding of tarot is desired.

I would highly recommend the book by Zain, as well. Much of it is available on-line, too, although I appreciate the physical "body" of a book as well as the holding and ritual of book-reading much more than sitting with a computer or other technological gadget.

The Brotherhood of Light Egyptian Tarot has become one of my favorites! I have a modest collection of around 45 decks, in many styles and disciplines. I love the size, the appearance, and am considering buying another to remain unused as a collector item only!

The card interpretations seem to be based mostly on Golden Dawn teachings, but that influence is only supposed. Based on C. C. Zain's "The Sacred Tarot", this is a *redesigned* deck in color, as it appears that the original deck was black and white. The Major Arcana and Court cards are imaged, while the Minor Arcana are "pips" - basic images representing the number and suit of the card, only.

THE CARDS ARE REALLY NICE.....THESE CARDS ARE NOT FOR A NEW BEGINNER.......THE BOOK IS HELPFUL AND ENLIGHTENING, BUT YOU MAY FIND BETTER EXPLANATIONS IN HOW TO BETTER UNDERSTAND THE TAROT CARDS ONLINE....I LOVE THE DISPLAYS AND THIS IS MY FAVORITE DECK OF TAROT CARDS.....THEY ARE ALSO SMALL LIKE PLAYING CARDS, WHICH IS FINE WITH ME.
