In an ever evolving mainline railway the book will gradually go out of date so a revised edition in say 5 years would be most useful. My only slight disappointment would be the picture quality of photos used but that might be down to the printing or over cropping. However seeing as its primarily a facts and figures book this does not detract from its overall value.
This is a very good book. That has the potential to be the definitive guide in future years. There are quite a few small detail errors. Which hopefully should be cleared up should the book be reprinted.
I like the authors work. As I also subscribe to a magazine that he edits.
He is very brave to attempt a book of this style. As it is a minefield to get right first time. Great effort though.
