Product description

Review

‘An ideal starting point for planning review lessons or for One to One tuition ideas. Good range of texts all linked to APP statements.‘

A. Butler, Amazon.co.uk

‘Overall, I love the concept of these books. As a school which is supposed to be leading on APP, I would find them very useful in terms of supporting individual students with curricular targets.’

Katy Wayne, Heathfield Community College

‘The Chapter Opener, Check Your Progress and Level Booster Features are wonderful’

Rav Bali, English Consultant, Bolton

Working with an Intervention group in year 7 and this book is a very good resource. Organised by APP assessment focus, work is levelled for self/teacher assessment. Interesting, relevant texts to engage the children but some are quite outdated, still useful as starters or stimulus for your own planning. Format can get quite boring and don't give enough work for the children to do so you have to think of extra or different activities on occasions.

Great short extracts of a range of texts that can be used to focus on different assessment focuses! A big time saver.
