The kit I bought said drinkable after 7 days, I racked it off and cleared it after about a week, after it stopped fermenting as per the instructions and it tasted like sour vinegar to be very honest, ha, ha, drinkable but only just.
Have just started drinking the rest after three or four months and I must say I'm quite Impressed, once again a reasonable Chardonnay style wine, quite acceptable. Mellow and soft tasting and easy to drink and or swallow.. Quite strong as far as alcohol is concerned too, the instructions say 12%-13%, about right. I bought the 6 bottle version to try and its worked out at about £1.80 per bottle for me for the finished product, not bad but I'll be buying the 30 bottle kit next and the that'll work out at about £0.70 a bottle for the finished product, much better. Want to use this wine as a base for some Vermouth style wines and aperitifs for Christmas as well as for standard Chardonnay style wine, think it will suit well.
Recommended, four stars, but don't expect very drinkable wine after seven days, not very nice.
The wine itself was surprisingly good - quite sweet (I might have been generous with the sugar) and it seemed way, way stronger than 11% (that's a good thing).

I would agree with others that this wine does have a chemical taste. It does however get better the longer you leave it. Perfectly drinkable nonetheless.Published 15 months ago by Dave the Box
Just produced first batch. A beautiful light wine, tastes stronger than 11%. My advice for anyone making wine is sterilse, sterilise and sterilise. Read morePublished on 4 Jan. 2015 by Serena S.
