First of all, this is a well-made product that is light enough to be transportable yet strong enough to last for many, many miles. I like the diagonal-entry zip and getting the suit on and off is really easy. Ankles and cuffs are loosely elasticated and backed-up with a velcro strap. The neck area has a nice strip of soft, fleecey material that prevents chaffing around your neck.

Sizing... Oxford say that if you wear size medium riding clothing then you will need a size medium in this Rain Seal Suit. This is probably true if you wear leathers, but if, like me, you wear armoured textile clothing then you will definitely need to go up one size: Not a big problem!

The only thing that I didn't really like was the built-in pocket that has a 2-inch wide, nylon waist-strap and buckle attached. This pocket is zippered and is behind the diagonal entry zip. I found it a bit fiddly stuffing the suit into its own pocket and I found the pocket, strap and buckle bulky and irritating when I had the suit on... Solution? Well, I carefully cut off the entire pocket with waist strap and buckle and threw it in the bin! [If you cut this off with a hot knife then it will seal the material and prevent fraying]. I then bought a separate nylon stuff-sack and use that to store and carry the Rain Seal Suit. This in no way affects the Rain Seal Suit's performance. For me, this works better, although the bulk of the built-in carry pack might not bother you

Getting it on was no bother, kept me dry whilst riding in the rain, however I did look like an idiot whilst trying to get it off, it wouldn't come past my boots at the filling station, only complaint is that it's too tight around the ankle

Good = A) 120 miles on the motorway at 80 & I stayed dry B) You can see me in the spray/drizzle at night on the motorway. C) Belt helps prevent Michelin Man syndrome

Bad = A) Zips chew plastic and snag. B) I bought XL and its snug over my XL leathers and Courier Boots. That means they need to "ride high" to be comfortable to ride in.

Mmmm = A) Cuffs over Winter gloves were fiddly on the last glove. B) Couldn't close collar properly with gloves on, but maybe that's just me. Easy with gloves off.

I bought my original suit in January 2015. It's now October and I'm on my third suit, the previous two replaced rapidly by BDLA Motorbike Accessories so full marks to them. The first two suits failed in the same place - the cuffs. The stitching simply isn't up to the job. Suit number one had the cuff strap pull off completely on the second use. I didn't pull on it particularly hard, certainly no harder than my previous Alpinestars suit which lasted nearly 4 years of abuse. The second suit the stitching around the cuff disintegrated after the third use as I was stretching the elastic over my gloves. Again, I wasn't being particularly forceful. I was offered a refund or a replacement but I chose to try one more time. This time I'm being exceedingly careful when pulling the cuffs over the gloves and doing up the cuff strap. If it fails again I'll update here and return it for a refund.

I ride most days for around 5 hours. The suit copes well with the wet stuff. My last outing it was raining cats and dogs all day and there was no water ingress. It's also good as an extra layer for warmth and the high collar is also good at stopping wind going up under the helmet chin bar, reducing noise. The pockets are well placed and have easy access. The belt strap adds a feeling of security and stops the main body of the suit billowing around. Getting the legs over the boots is a bit of a pain though. The gusset gets caught extremely easily in the fine zip and gets very frustrating. The main zip running diagonally up the body is a different matter and is easy to run up and down without too much trouble.

If it wasn't for the poor stitching on the cuffs this would be a five-star suit - what a shame.

Managed to test it almost as soon as it arrived and I can vouch for it being waterproof ! A bit baggy around the waist for me but it does not afect the riding and its not as if I will be parading in it !

I am an XL and it fits perfectly - maybe a little on the large side but that's good for getting over my other gear.

good quality and does the job, but the limbs are short. I bought the 2xl even though i normally take XL and the arms are only just long enough and the legs are way too short unless you are wearing full knee high boots

Fit true to its size. It has done the job well in two heavy rainstorms at 60mph!
Be careful withthe zippers-both for n and on off- as they are prone to "chew" adjacent plastic and lock up
