I use my 2000 Honda FireBlade as my primary form of transport. I wear a variety of kit ranging from 1 piece race suits with the race hump to a racing jacket (pretty much Alpinestars top drawer stuff) to my goretex kit in winter) and needed a backpack that could be used with all of the kit... which this does.

The weight is carried by your chest rather than your lower back. The quadlock system is perfect on this front. It allows a very snug fit. I know it's bit of a cliche, but you don't know that this is even on your back. The cool thing about this the R20 is that it even allows me to wear the bag with my 1 piece race suits (Alpinestars SX-1 and MX-1) without much discomfort. Bearing in mind that I wear a back protector underneath, it's pretty damn comfortable with the backpack on. Even with just my A* SMX jacket which doesn't feature a race hump, there is ample padding on the back to make it uber comfortable. The adjusters allow you to easily tailor the fit on your body.

In terms of capacity, I wanted an intermediate sized bag. I already have a Boblbee Megalopolis as my primary 25L bag so I needed something that would swallow up my 14" laptop, lunch and a change of clothes for work, which this does happily. I went for the 20 instead of the 25 because I already have a Kriega US10 tailpack which I can lash onto the R20 for extra capacity.

The biggest gripe is that this bag is only drizzleproof! Try riding it without a drybag liner in torrential rain with important documents or your laptop and you're asking for trouble. It leaks via the shoulder straps because they are removable. You can yank them out of the bag and it happily slots back into place. This for many is a biggie, but since I'm always in the habit of double bagging, it doesn't faze me.

I've used this rucksack for mountain biking, motorbike trail riding and snowboarding for the last 3 years. The R20 is big enough to take the internal water bladder as well as spare gear like waterproofs etc... It's a great rucksack, very comfortable with the unique strap system and very durable. Some of the clips on the rear do get in the way with the zips when you want quick access sometimes, but that's a minor point on an otherwise and almost faultless rucksack.

A simply brilliant rucksack. The straps are fully adjustable and the quad lock (lite) system is fantastic at keeping the weight off your shoulders and allows you to have full movement in your arms. I use mine on a daily basis for work and it's fantastic. You need one...

Nice comfortable rucksack for using on your motorbike. It's not really designed to be worn over just one shoulder as it has a tendancy to slide down so if your walking you need both straps on your shoulders. Very easy to put on when geared up as the straps are long yet once buckled up it's very secure and you forget its even there which shows it's a good design. Shame you can't purchase a waist strap separate as i've lost mine. And also worth noting that unless you have purchased this new and have proof of purchase in your name then their 7 year warranty means nothing, so anyone buying this secondhand on eBay be warned that any issues/faults, Kriega will not want to know. Which is poor as the bag design isn't more than 5 years old so it shouldn't matter where/when you bought it as it's in the 7 years. Hence loses 1 star.
This bag is light showerproof, meaning anything over 5mins in heavy rain or 15mins in drizzle/light rain then expect leaks to appear. Also it's amazing how much you can cram into this rucksack, it seems to swallow up stuff remarkably.
There's a decent hard back protector in it as standard, which is pre-curved and will stop objects poking through in an impact/crash.

Perfect rucksack for daily use - commuting.
I've got four different Kriega bags including US-5, US-10, US-20, and this R20.
Obviously I like them. They are extremely well made. Tough, rugged, and stylish.
This rucksack is very comfortable. I've used on long journeys as well as daily commute.
As this rucksack is not 100% waterproof I keep one of these very lightweight waterproof liners inside it for when i need it Karrimor Drybag 25L - Teal
I would definitely recommend the R20, and the other Kriega bags that I have.

This is another amazing product from kriega to add to my collect. I was looking for a daypack to take travelling as I tour South East Asia on a motorbike, the product was delivered on time, reasonable price. Great service.

Let down by the fact that when it gets wet (inevetable in this country) a residue from the inner lining adesive soaks through to the outer layer and leaves an anoying water mark that only comes out with a good scrub. Very comfortable though with lots of space for normal commute bits (Dic lock, medi kit, puncture repair kit, small tool kit and spare socks) and still room for a bit of shopping if needed. Not bad but water proofing needs to be addressed I think.

This is my bag of choice for my commute, or going to the gym. Great size, and very well made. Quality zips and the design allows you to fill it with weighty objects yet you never feel it because of the harness strap. It states its water resistant yet i have been soaked and nothing inside has ever got wet. Just works and looks slick....I also own the R35 for carrying more and yet again i love it. Kriega are the dogs.
