Takes 3 AA batteries (already included) and features 3 lullabies and 2 sound effects (running water and heart beat) although the heartbeat and water sounds a bit electronic. Volume control is handy too.
A little smaller than expected (see picture) but fun design with soft wings. Would recommend :)
We have been using it now for about two weeks as part of a consistent bed and nap time routine and I have to say that it is ok. There are things I like very much, and things I like far less. Baby is still not overly enamoured with his cot, but in all honesty I don't think it's fair to lay the blame for that on poor Frankie.
Things I like.....
The stars - we all love the stars. Blue, green and a much softer and dimmer red. They fill the whole ceiling and are really pretty and peaceful. If you want moving stars or changing colours, this is not for you. Personally, I like the fact that they don't move or flicker or change colour. So I like these stars very much indeed.
The heartbeat sound - baby loves the heartbeat sound. It genuinely does help him settle. It's not so loud that it stops me getting to sleep (cot is next to my bed) but it's loud enough to do the job for baby.
Stars, heartbeat sound and lullabies all work independently of each other. You can have just stars, just heartbeat, just lullabies, or stars plus either heartbeat or lullabies.
It's safe - battery operated, no risky wires near baby, no risk of baby getting to batteries.
Things I really don't like....
The music. Dear God, the music. It's truly appalling. Think warped elevator music with wailing saxophones and you're still not getting close to the sheer awfulness of the music. My advice would be to stick to the heartbeat sounds.Read more ›
But my son dug it out again later and loves it as a toy! He likes the music and loves the stars, especially if I wave the frog about so he can chase them! So we're getting some use out of it at least
The kids happy and mum and dad are ecstatic that nap time is a little less drama.

We did have a frog light of the same brand 3 years ago and it was much better quality with better sounds and sound quality than this one. A little disappointed.Published 7 days ago by Alecia Emerson-Thomas
