This egg skelter is exactly what I had expected and the best way that I have come across for storing eggs so far. There is also one for bantam eggs which is good. You can get a lot of eggs on it, and they remain in order of freshness. Sometimes you have to be a bit careful when having fun rolling them all down hill, because they can crack if the game becomes too vigorous.

Bought a couple of these as gifts for the chicken lovers in the family. They loved them. Looks lovely and is a great way of keeping the eggs in date order. A range of colours means you can match it to pretty much any decor. It does take up quite a bit of space on a counter top so it's not ideal for small kitchens.

I love how the Egg Skelter looks in my kitchen; if you’re looking to store a lot of eggs in an attractive yet practical way then this Egg Skelter is the product for you.

In essence it is literally a helter skelter for eggs that’s made from thick quality wire, mine is painted in a cream colour which is very nice indeed although it is available in a variety of colours so worth checking these out too.

I really like the vintage look and design of the Egg Skelter and the fact it holds up to 24 eggs in a relatively small footprint is quite surprising; I love products that are attractive and practical.

The Skelter takes up relatively little space despite its egg capacity, measuring 22cm in diameter on the main body. Allow an additional 13cm for where the bottom ramp finishes.

If, like me, you sometimes have farm eggs that are undated the Skelter system is also a practical way to store the eggs, with the oldest coming off the ramp first and loading your freshest eggs at the top. Worth noting we’ve had no egg tumbling mishaps yet as often the eggs need a little persuasion to go down the ramp, and we are very careful with them.

I am so impressed with the design of the Egg Skelter combined with its practical plus points such as capacity and date ordering that I am definitely getting another for my mother in law who is a farmer and has a lot of undated eggs flying around, and this will go perfectly in her vintage farm house.

A fantastic product, highly recommended with sincerely no criticisms at all. Brilliant.

I was kindly provided a sample by the manufacturer to review; the opinions expressed here are entirely my own view of the Egg Skelter.

First I have to say that I love my egg skelter and despite the fact that it doesn't work I am glad I have it. The idea is fantastic that you put the eggs at the top and they roll down keeping them in order - great for people with chickens especially - however they just do not roll! Some have rolled and rolled off completely and broken, some stop on the ridges and some just stay where they are put, also I imagined you would take an egg off the bottom and all the others would neatly roll and take its place, not so unfortunately. On the plus side it looks very attractive on the worktop, it holds lots of eggs and the eggs are in date order. I push the eggs down manually and it is still better than my previous storage.

This is great for storing your eggs in order from oldest to freshest. As the manufacturer says eggs can vary in roundness so dont expect the eggs to roll necessarily. Sometimes my eggs roll down the skelter but more often than not you have to 'assist' the eggs to move along. It is meant to order your eggs from freshest to stalest and it does that undoutedly. It looks cool too-hence my caption-people notice it.

I have hens and this is the most stylish and practical way to store them in 'laid' date order. I found that if you place the eggs across rather than length ways then the roll perfectly when one is removed. Strong and looks good in my pantry.

Really attractive egg storage. We have chickens and always have more eggs than we can eat so my husband was always questioning which egg to eat to first as I would put them in a wicker basket on top of each other. So when I saw this I had to get it. It does exactly what it says you out the eggs In order of collection and pick them up from the bottom. I don't actually let them roll as I find it easier to move them down which is done easily. I think they could fall off or knock one another if you rolled them form the top or even get stuck but this doesn't affect the use of this brilliant attractive egg storage
