Ergosoft coloured pencils are slim coloured pencils that are suitable for all age groups. They have a non-slip surface, which has a soft feel for the user. The pencils have apt ergonomics, thanks to the triangular shape which is really comfortable to hold in the hand. They come supplied in the practical stand-up Staedtler box. With the Staedtler box you simply open, stand it up and start writing. The Staedtler box is so practical and just as ecologically efficient: Without the need for additional external packaging, it serves as a practical storage box and clever pencil holder at the same time.
The box includes 12 vibrant assorted colours. The lead is soft and break-resistant and has a diameter of 3 mm. There is a name box on each pencil so the owner can add their name for identification. The pencils are easy to sharpen with any quality sharpener. These pencils have the Staedtler ABS feature. Specially with children, coloured pencils have to be able to stand up to a lot of punishment: An Anti-Break-System (ABS for short) increases their service life. Because the richly coloured, high-quality lead core in a coloured pencils with ABS is surrounded by a white protective coating. It is so hard and resistant that the break-resistance of the coloured lead is increased by up to 50 per cent, making the pencil up to 30 per cent stronger.

my first impressions was that the product was very good quality and very god value for money (to say how many colours you get and the carry case is come with) there were also lots of different colours which were great for shading and getting the wright colour.
performance of the product,
i have been using these for about a month now and i am really impressed. the led inside of the pencils is very strong and it lasts along time. i take them everywhere i go and the carry case which it comes in is very durable and can withstand quite a lot of damage. but sometimes the case does come unclipped but can be easily clipped back together. moving on to the range of the colours, there are a lot to choose from when you are doing something which needs a lot of different colours and shades. the colours are also very good for mixing.
finally, i am really impressed with the product and would fully recommend this product to anyone
Firstly there are some unique colours which will expand your imaginagtion.
Secondlly the thinner cores, combined with the triangular shaft assure excellent precision. The downside is that you are never going to cover large areas with these pencils.
Ideal for Millie Marotta's colouring books
Despite the name, the cores are not nearly as soft as they could be, but they do blunt fairly quickly. For this reason I recommend also investing in a matching set of the harder Staedtler Norris pencils, so that you can avoid unecessary sharpening wastage when colour the finest details.
Sharpening is easy with a standard pencil shaprener, without any breakage.
The tin provides good protection, but the garish cover is a negative. It is also too easily confused the Staedtler Aquarell pencil tin. These triangular pencils are not suited for keeping in a pencil roll.
Some of the colours do look very similar at first pass. For this reason I really recommend adding more layers; the difference is subtle in some cases, but as you add layers you realise they're not so alike. One reviewer was disappointed not to have a true red in the set. There are 2 'reds'; one is more pink, the other more orange. I found that by layering them on top of each other I got a 'true' red. I haven't tried to blend them as such, but putting similar colours on top of each other does give new and pleasing shades.
Another nice thing is that although I have used these for several days now, I haven't had to sharpen any yet. Hopefully this means they will last a long time.
The pencils feel comfortable in the hand. The matt finish means they font feel slippy, so are easy to control. The case is really good too. It protects the pencils and the flip top thingy makes it easy to see all the colours, and get them in and out.
I was going to give 4 stars, as people seem to think £14.50 for colouring pencils is a lot of money. However, I think the price reflects the fact that these pencils and their case are well designed, and made to a high standard. I would recommend them to anyone.
