This is the tentative first outing by Bryan Adams, together with Jim Vallance and the same band who would back him for many years. The songs are reasonable, without any particularly weak tracks, the arrangements uncomplicated and find BA touring various pop/rock styles, with considerably less raucous guitars than in later years. For "Neighbours"-era fans it's probably too sparse, but is an interesting listen for those familiar with his earlier output.

A must for collectors because it is the album that launched a legend but don't expect the polished rock star you have become accustomed to. It is the work of a young man learning his trade and certainly not his best work. having said that, it is definitely an enjoyable album and reminds me of listening to your favourite local bands. If you're into raw energy and stripped to the bones 80s rock 'n roll then you'll enjoy this album.
I won't be playing it regularly like 18 Til I Die but it deserves to be in my collection and I'm glad I bought it.
