Yes I say from my opinion, I have used filter apps which work very well, but the glasses are another option which works well to filter out the blue light. Also, they can be removed conveniently, they have the desired effect of letting you rest when you need to because of the filtering they provide.

As far as I can tell these glasses block 100% blue light. They come with a testing card and blue light which turns the card blue when you shine it on, when you shine it through these lenses it doesn't turn blue so as far as I can tell it doesn't let any blue light through. Hope this helps

No, they are glasses to be worn on their own to filter blue light. These are quite tight fitting and leave a slight indentation on the bridge of my nose. Otherwise they do the job very well and I have noticed an improvement in my sleep.
