Select home on your kindle,then top left select cloud all your purchased books should be there select the books you want to download they should then start downloading to your device.when you've finished your selection select "on device" top left again.your books should now be on your new kindle.hope this helps.

As for the light effecting your sleep - well, it's LED light - so yes, it will affect your sleep, in the same way that LED light coming out of any other device (mobile, tablet) will - it doesn't matter whether it's backlit or frontlit - it's still bouncing into your eyes.
In fact, I personally find it more comfortable to read on a mobile phone/tablet using an app such as MoonReader - where you can adjust the settings so that the background is black, and the writing is light blue - much easier on the eyes when you're in bed.
Kindle is still a far better reading experience in sunlight though. see less

No you can't. That feature is only available on Fire tablets and via the kindle app on other smartphones and tablets. On ereaders you are limited to black text on a white(ish) background.
