The material is very thick, not your usual Argos paddling pool. The lid fits very tightly too so if a cat were to jump on it they wouldn't fall through. Best thing to do is put a box or bar stool next to it so they can see what it is to curb their curiosity. Ours watch us in the spa from the top of a neighbour's shed. You can also get spa surrounds which the cats can jump up on to and watch from there. You attach a hose to the side, the water will then drain through the hose to wherever your point it - the weight of the water creates pressure to ensure that the spa will substantially empty to the extent that you can pick the spa up and move it somewhere where you can turn it upside down.

Hi. We use 2 tablets and yes leave it in when not in use. Recommend getting ph testing strips too.
