But be careful as some Nespresso compatible capsules have to be sealed in a small individual bag as the capsule itself is not hermetically sealed. But be careful as some Nespresso compatible capsules have to be sealed in a small individual bag as the capsule itself is not hermetically sealed. Therefore if you used this type (not hermetically sealed) they would fit in but you would risk the coffee becoming stale.

There is a metal base but the bottom surface is covered in a soft velvet-like material. I'm not sure about your worktop as I have mine on a wooden shelf but it's fine and doesn't leave any marks.

It's fiddly, with the capsules being tapered and quite slippery it's almost a two handed job, it is not, however, a serious problem.Take them out from the top if it's an issue.Keeps all in order though which is more important.

Looking at the shape of the Gusto pods I would say No. They look much bigger than the Nespresso pods.
