On PS3 there is literary not even a handful of games that did, so I suspect the PS4 too will be pretty much region free in practise.

Also, like Sabir Damji suspects above the region thing applies more to films on BD or DVD than games. Blurays though is still mostly region free by about 70% or so. DVDs are nearly always region locked. see less

To be honest I'm not sure, when I bought it it was a brand new one. I did buy a second hand ps3 off amazon about a year and a half ago and after a month it broke down I sent it back and got my Money back, id prob buy a new one just to be safe, I know game have some good deals for £300 , hope this helps.

It is for convenience. Unless you're desperate I would suggest waiting for the inevitable Destiny pack as it is a great game and there will be some good deals about nearer Christmas, there really is nothing to play on it at the mo, I spend most if my time on my 360.
