No. I don't have a Golf either but these type of seats (not just the Recaro) tend to be wide and rear seats too narrow. The gap left between them will only take a slim child at best.

remember to Mount isofix correctly - if not used with isofix then remember to Lock seatbelt also when seat not in use. Note: instruction manual is fitted >under the seat<

I would however highly recommend - I have two Recaro seats and am constantly surprised that more people do not make the same decision. They would rather choose a seat designed by a pushchair manufacturer than one made by a company that makes race-car seats as their core business. I know who I would trust to protect my child in the event of a car accident! see less

If you have standard seat fixings or seat-belts then I am sure it will be okay. Tis the most comfortable seat of all!

Pauline and Peter have already given the answers, depending on what you want to adjust. The seat back is height adjustable for the wide age range it covers. The back doesn't recline because it should be tight against the car seat back.
