have spoken to my husband and he has a couple of suggestions.check your batteries in both monitor and transmitter.avoid using re-chargeable batteries. also have you got monitor too near electrical equipment.i.e.phones.computer etc. hope this helps you

have spoken to my husband and to be honest he doesn't know.where we live in cornwall it is very rare that we get zero temperatures,even in the countryside! sorry couldn't be more help
