Answer:
Yes there is a self timer. It has a couple of default settings (2 & 10 seconds, I think), but there's a custom setting that allows you to override this. Don't know if there's a maximum delay.

Answer:
It's not too bad in good light conditions but can 'miss the moment' as you say. Comparatively speaking, it's better than my old IXUS 750 and worse than my Olympus XZ-1 (especially indoors).

I had little knowledge of how many images this would hold and it seemed sensible to start with a card capacity in the middle of the range. In the four months I have been using it, the card has several hundred photos on it plus many short videos and there is no sign that it is near to full capacity, so for me 16GB is a convenient choice relative to price. I would add that an equally important consideration for me is the card's 'Class' rating which determines how quickly each new image is processed before the next photo can be taken. The advice I got is that the higher the number inside the letter C on the card casing, the faster the processing, so I chose the maximum 10. see less

The Camera User Guide specifys Canon brand PictBridge compatible printer. So YES is your answer.Pictures can be printed on this camera without the use of a computer. The Canon IXUS 132 has a USB/AV out port that will allow direct connection to the printer. The camera package does not include this USB cable required for this. I assume this cable is included with the Printer. Alternatively the cameras SD card could be connected to your computer and print photos that way. No disks or software is included with this camera. So in short, The Canon IXUS 132 connects directly to the aforementioned printer via USB. The camera user guide is available online to download but a basic Getting Stared guide book is included in the package. I hope you find this beneficial to you and I recommend this great camera. I will certainly be looking into the printer you have mentioned. see less
