Hi louise, when i purchased this unit i did indeed get all that was listed above, however be aware as not all packages come with all of the accesories some of the cheaper versions do not contain the HR strap and or Cadence sensor. With the right maps it's excellent. The base map is very poor, but as with anything else, you get what you pay for. Overall I love my Garmin 810.

Yes this device does have sat nav capability but you will need to purchase the maps SD card to enable it - these cards range from city ones around £50 to full country ones around £150 - best thing to do is look at the bundle offers and see what they give you. No its designed specifically as cycle computer and would be pretty useless for hiking; limited battery life and also locks up reasonably often/ Try a Garmin Watch (not sure what type p but check reviews) or Suunto watch Ambit 3 (Peak is best for outdoors according to reviews I have read)
