With that I've been able to scan multi-page docs directly to PDF without any problems. Make sure you have a CD drive available as PaperPort is not availalble to download from the Dell support website. see less I've had some issues to get it to work. In my experience it wakes up. I never switch the printer off and it therefore stays in sleep mode. when i have something to print, it may take a few seconds to wake up but then it prints

I could be wrong on this but I have been told that you should no use glossy photo paper in a laser printer. A laser printer uses heat to fuse the toner onto the paper, on glossy paper this heat can melt the coating on the paper causing problems.
