The legs move forward from the hips (not from the knee) and the arms move back & forward from the shoulder (not at elbow) and the head moves 1/3 a circle from front face at the neck joint. The material is plastic but does feel slightly rubbery when manoeuvring. Overall, both my boys enjoyed playing with it until they broke the legs off. LOL.
