Sorry, don't have a clue. I don't wear make up (being a man) lol, I did use a light moisteriser before I used it. I now use Prosacea, which inflames my skin a lot less and seems to work better, for me

I have found this helps keep my breakouts to a minimum. I have extremely sensitive skin and loads of moisturisers I have used have caused my skin to breakout where as this one hasn't, I haven't seen a massive improvement in the redness if I'm honest but I find that it doesn't irritate my skin like others do. hope this helps

Yes always cleanse face before application - spoke with my GP recently about product and she specialises in roseacea and hadn't heard of product - but it really does soothe skin and seems to reduces redness- really works.
