I've not seen any frequency response curves for the soundbar so all I can say is that it is better than the internal speakers on our Sony TV. Using the optical interface provides a slightly crisper sound than using the aux interface. Yes it does, but it cames with the UK lug. You need a small/cheap adaptor, if you are not in the UK.

Yes it does need a power lead which is supplied. However, the one lead bit means the connection to the audio output. I have plugged mine into the headphone socket on my TV and it works brilliantly. Worth the money.

because you r surposed to use a optical cable mine never goes off but will go off automatic when my television has been off for a while hope this helps
