Well, that depends on when you buy it, like any other foodstuff. My current tin has a best-by date of 12/2016.

I am 95% sure it's just espresso but I have made Irish coffee by using the steamer pipe to heat the coffee up again.

12 - 14 months from purchase. Note that the "free" pods included with my Francis X7 coffee machine were past the best before date. Pods taste best when they are fresh obviously, but a tin of 21 pods lasts me less than 2 weeks so no problem there then!

capsules will only work in illy iperespresso coffee machines designed for illy capsules. in those machines you cannot use anything else, no pods, only capsules.
