dark hair on pale skin... then absolutely... it worked wonders on this area for my aunt (she purchased one after i did and specifically for that purpose), as for me, i have no underarm hair now and any that grows is really sparse.

Two or three days. However I really wouldn't buy this product again. Mine went in the bin in immaculate condition as it stopped working after just two years and cannot be repaired

No it's not missing! The orange/red window is for filtering certain energies emitted in the flash. This is to give facial area additional protection.
The body attachment doesn't have one, so that hair can feel the full force of the flash. Hope this helps!

I think you need to read the instructions REALLY carefully. The IPL light works on the black/dark hairs! It would have the same affect on black skin as it works on the dark pigments. Even 'dark' skin people cannot normally use this type of appliance. As I understand it - NO you cannot use it on black skin. I wouldn't if I were you. I have had proffessional IPL done and have been told that they couldn't treat mole hair due to the pigment of moles.
