The good news is that you can get water based gloss. From the research I have done it seems that the water based gloss stays white longer and doesn't go yellow like the oil paints. I bought the paint sprayer for a fencing project, but I am so impressed with it I will be using it for other jobs. A gloss finish is required for one of my projects, so I'll be going with a water based gloss. The clean up time is about 15 - 20 minutes. It's a very well designed piece of kit. :) see less

The machine doesn't need any big treatment part of the oil in the nozzle and clean the filter with water once a month. Love this machine! Good luck!!!

answer is Yes but with conditions, the paint has to be really diluted for an even flow which would result in multiple coats. However it's good and easy to use. I bought it for painting indoor walls, however only used it to paint garage walls , fence etc where a good finish is not that essential.

Make sure that you cover the area behind whatever you are spraying and leave the the top of the back til last so that you can move the item around with touching the painted area.
