Answer:
No. It's designed to fit at the junction of the top tube and down tube. It stays there securely and doesn't wobble about. IMO it works better than any bar mounted mirrors I've had.

Answer:
I only get a limited view on my bike with paniers, on a tandem the view might be even more limited as you only get a view when you right leg is up. I would suggest holding a small vanity mirror in that space and see what sort of view you get.

Although not perfect I do still find it very useful especially at night when you can see the lights of vehicles but also when in a bike lane I can see other cyclists coming up behind me. I don't rely on it though and always look over my shoulder for any manouvres! see less

Answer:
You will need to ensure the e-bike is no wider than a normal bike around the seat post. You are effectively looking backwards along the line of the crossbar. If the line if sight is clear then it is a good safety feature to have. My experience is the this is the only mirror type that is stable enough to see anything.

Answer:
No you would have a limited view if you had panniers on the back. I have replaced my generic mirror and now use the mirrycle bar end mirror which I bought on Amazon, it is an excellent mirror good field of vision and stays put with no vibration, highly recommended.

Answer:
Yes. but this mirror isnt good in my opinion. your leg, rear bike rack bag is in the way, and forget it if you put panniers on the rack...
look up zefel. I use one on the end of my handlebar. not as good as having a barn door motorcycle mirror, but it does the job.
