It varies - it takes stress off the tendon, so healing depends on how overworked your tendon is. There's some good picture of how to use it correctly in "Treat Your Own Tennis Elbow" (along with some good exercises too).

I have it tight but not so it hurts! It is important for the wide bit to be pressing on your forearm muscle just below your elbow. I couldn't be without mine, it helps so much, I just take it off when I go to bed & it's back on as soon as I wake up! Hope your pain eases soon, it's horrible.

Yes it is elastic or stretchy... can be stretched to give very firm support. I've found it very helpful. It has enabled me to continue playing tennis despite suffering from tennis elbow.

I have only used this item whilst decorating under clothing but it only has a faint polypropylene smell which personally doesn't bother me. Probably best to wash it before wearing. Hope this helps, Best wishes - Alex.

The pressure pad goes on the joint is. Is hurting. If you make a fist you will see the muscle is pulling it goes just below the elbow 2inch but two fingers pressed underneath the elbow join that. We're you place the elbow support
