When my software starts up I have the option to select other regions, but I have only used for PAL.

Yes you can copy blue rays. You may need additional software on your PC / mac though bit most of these you can download from the web for free

That depends on your software. The Samsung blu ray drive comes with Cyberlink home theatre and it and you to change region up yo three times. If you are just looking to play blu ray on your tv you can get multi region blu ray players for about half the price

I can't make that function work on my t.v, it may work on a Samsung TV. I think you would be better off buying A blue ray player if the main use is to play Blue Ray on the TV. If you use it with your lap-top and your lap top and it has an HDMI port and has an i3 processor or above it would work that way

the software included is, as i recall, for windows. you would need to purchase something like MacGo blu ray player from their site. it is cheap and excellent, and has allowed me to use the samsung multi region for playing blu rays.
