I would say not - I use mine with a pair of Monster N-Ergy phones and the inline remote does not work (they do work with both an iPod touch and a Galaxy S4 so I know the remote is working fine... for now)

I use it for "Audible.co.uk" audio books and it works great for me. It does bookmark the last place you were up to on each book file segment. So it resumes at that point when I go back to it, but generally I just go though from where I left off each time

I do not have the answer to your question. I have had various teething frustrations which I have resolved with a mixture of going through the manual, looking at SandDisk web site & contacting SandDisk with the problem. All my niggles have been resolved. Requires patience. I am very happy with the device.

It has a 4GB hard drive. Just slot in your microSD card to enjoy more. I believe it takes 64GB.
