andy hi , it sounds like the safety lock , left of start trigger which allows retractable blade guard to rise may be at fault, i,ve looked in my manuals and it does,nt mention anything about warranty, but it must come with at least 12 months depending when and where you bought it . visit www.metabo.com for answers and … see more andy hi , it sounds like the safety lock , left of start trigger which allows retractable blade guard to rise may be at fault, i,ve looked in my manuals and it does,nt mention anything about warranty, but it must come with at least 12 months depending when and where you bought it . visit www.metabo.com for answers and addresses of reputable metabo repair services , you can also get a spare parts list and schematic diagram which hopefully can pinpoint the offending part,, if you have to purchase the part yourself most hire shops would be able to help you get it fixed andy .. if in doubt about warranty , contact metabo directly at their customer services as i firmly believe it is illegal not to have a warranty with such a large power tool,, a bit of advice dont say the blade jammed as they might say you overheated the blade ,causing it to jam , just say it broke under normal use.. hope this helps andy ,,good luck.. see less

I don't know as I only use it in wood. But feel sure with the correct blade it would go through like butter. Very good quality highly recommended

Horizontal and vertical bevels are both adjustable to a little over 45 degrees. In fact that's the first thing to do - calibrate it to square first (in all directions) don't trust it - calibrate it! Lovely though.

Check operating voltage from instruction book. If 110v you have an american model and 240v British power will damage the motor
