The other sort is used by Michelin in their pumps and involves screwing a threaded collar onto the universal thread of the valve housing. The lever arm type is quicker to fit, but can sometimes be difficult to get off and air can be lost while you struggle. The Michelin screw type takes a bit more time but makes for a more positive connection, both when attaching and removing. Incidentally, I found the pressure gauge on the Ring very inaccurate.
