No it doesn't. It runs Android and a very old version at that. You'll need a PC or tablet with Windows to run Word and Excel. You coluld look at Open Office which works a lot like Word and Excel and runs on various hardware and is free.

This tablet has android operating system and does not support Microsoft software. There are other apps similar to MS Office. It is not exactly as a computer but has several similar features. This unit can be used as a mobile phone and includes a camera.

Android has an inbuilt limit on the number of texts that can be held. On v4 it is 4500, earlier versions may be less, once exceeded the stock sms app goes weird. Either use a seperate app such as smsgo that does not have the issue or remove the texts by clearing the sms app cache. I use the app approach on a HTC one mini and have over 6000 texts and have no issues.
