Pretty easy, the hook section has two push studs that allow that to be released. Once removed the whole pipe section slides off, you then slide it back on from the bottom then pop the hook section back on.

Yes you can. The legs fold through 180 anyway for packing away so you effectively just use it straight out of the bag. I've used mine upside down no problem.

I bought it for ease of use when doing closeups using a still camera, and as a mic stand when making videos.

..yes, i used and it was perfect. U can use it everywhere because it can be small or big - as u wish, its durable and stable. I think this tripod is the middle step or very close to professional inventory (but for reasonable price). Good luck.
