Once it has reached the pre-set temperature it switches itself off and comes on again automatically when the temperature drops. It does not switch itself off if moved (carefully!). -

I doubt it because of the oscillating base, I bought mine to use in my Static Caravan, and I am at home, nowhere near the Caravan.
Why not build a small shelf where you would have located it on the wall? and put it on the shelf, the heater would need to be about 9-10 inches from the wall if you want to use it in the os… see more
