I ordered 2, and they both worked perfectly. That's a 100% success rate, but not a huge sample. If you're worried, by the official ones with the guantee- they ain't expensive! Oh, by the way, these are the official ones!

It'll certainly work on any Microsoft XBox360 Controller. I don't know if it'll work with 3rd Party Controllers, sorry.

You MIGHT be able to do 2 at once by using a usb splitter but I have no experience of doing it so it would be a gamble. Depends if the port is putting out enough juice to do it.

It won't help you connect your wireless controller to your PC. The cable is only for charging.
To connect your wireless controller to your PC you need the xbox 360 wireless gaming receiver.
(or just buy a wired controller)

if the pad is not in use, i think it takes about 40 minutes.
very likely a tiny bit longer if being used.
n.b. if the pads quite old and worn the contacts seem to slow the charge so a pad with a few years can be near a couple of hours!
