Answer:
Hi there it sounds like the cat flap may be faulty as the batteries should last about a year depending on how many cats/ times its used. Sorry I don't have any tips I should contact the manufacturer & tell them the problem. Hope this helps. Regards Lynne Stead

My cat used to weigh 6.6 kg and he got through. He is now 16 and a bit slimmer...she should be fine once she gets used to using it.

It might be the batteries but I would suggest you contact Sureflap because they are very helpful and if the unit is faulty I'm sure they'll replace it for you.

Answer:
I would recommend contacting the manufacturer. Go to the SurePetCare website and click on the Support icon.
There are some self help options on there as well as an enquiry form and contact details at the bottom.
Hopefully you registered the warranty when you purchased the cat flap.

Answer:
We bought the extension kit and liner but our cat was very nervous about not being able to see if 'the enemy' was lurking outside so I took them off and we now have a gaping hole but less anxious cat. Flap doesn't always close fully so problem of unwanted visitors not solved.

Answer:
We used to have broken cat flaps due to a nasty cat trying to come in when locked... We haven't had an incident since this cat flap was installed. No need to lock it anymore as only my cats can come in and out and no other cat has managed to break it so far... We have had the cat flap for over 2 years now
