i make it just over 16cm in lenght and just over 2oz (55gr) in weight x 7 =385gr
if you wrap the legs around something it really holds tight maybe more weight if virtical (legs wrapped)

To be honest this is mainly designed to support phones however, I have an iPhone 6s plus and it's heavy, and it supported it very well. I have to mention though, it may get a bit lose on one part after a while. But over all it is a great product and I use it everyday and it will suppor the canon G12.

Gorillapod magnetic is great. The attachment works on any camera but I will only use it for small cameras. When a camera is big the tripod won't have a lot of resistance to support thw weight of camera.

There is an adaptor you can buy that enables a GoPro to be attached to the gorillapod. Any gopro supplier should help.
