The side with holes comes with 4 rubber 'stoppers' which can be moved to position your laptop from sliding/slipping. The measurements for the area with holes is 34cm wide , 25cm deep. The other side is covered with a neoprene material. My only comment about the rubber 'stoppers' is that they can be knocked out of place. They are easily repositioned but I've found that I don't really need them. I'd really recommend this product and use it all the time when I'm working on my laptop on the sofa or in bed. see less

Answer:
Sorry the fans are fixed so they cannot be moved, but there is no reason to move them they draw air in from the open sides and then
blow air upwards through the pads top and keeps everything cool. I would not be without mine. Hope this helps.

My Dell Studio 1558 has a 15.6" widescreen, and almost fills the chill mat width-ways, but it really does depend on the individual laptop as they will all differ slightly in size. see less

Answer:
Hi Jezza
The width is 38cms so you will have an overhang of a couple of cms each side but this should not interfere with its operation. great piece of kit, it has prevented my laptop and netbook overheating when in use which previously caused both to sieze up.
Hope this helps
