No, it's not full frame. It has a Nikon DX sensor which is pretty much an APS-C size (which is generally 2/3rds the size of a full frame).

The D300s is a great camera, but remember that it an old model, about three years old.
The performance is brilliant, despite the fact that there are newer models with a far greater pixel count.

The D300s is a great camera, but remember that it an old model, about three years old.
The performance is brilliant, despite the fact that there are newer models with a far greater pixel count.
I have used mine for well over two years, and find it the best camera I have ever used, both in terms of performance, and ease of use.
Most functions are reached from the top controls, rather than having to dive into the menu banks. To me, the only drawback is that the image starts to get a bit grainy once you up the ISO to over 400.
With an all metal body, it's built to withstand virtually anything you can throw at it.
All in all, I far prefer it to my D7000. see less
