An adapter is provided that enables you to connect it to a PC USB port (or any other USB charger you have). It is easy to mount and there are various additional options available. The video quality isn't stunning, it isn't bad but it isn't anywhere near HD, but depending on what you are using it may be adequate. Also the memory card restricts the amount of recording time which I found a bit limiting because you don't know how full it is until it stops recording.
I've since got a small (size of a pack of butter though a lot bigger than the Muvi) Sony Handycam which gives better video and longer battery life. True that costs a little more than this device but it does nearly all of what I want it a lightweight device. I would suggest looking at the alternatives (including those from Veho). There are sample videos on YouTube that give real use examples of quality.
Hope that helps. see less

Therefore I think that you should check if either a dedicated video camera or a digital camera with a wide angle lens and a video setting would be better for your purposes, before purchase. For video it is helpul to have a fast SD card for best results. see less

Yes, I think it would. I bought it for this reason myself. The clip will be strong enough on a good strap.

Answer:
When I first bought it, yes it did record sound but seeing as it packed up after 30 days (just out of warranty) it was no good. Read the other reviews and don't buy it.
