I doubt very much if this type of draught excluder will work as it is designed to seal when compressed. The material will tear as the sashes slid. Modern sash windows have brush-type draught strips which I have on my windows so I would opt for this.

Yeh it will, it's flexible to compress when the door is closed so bends are no problem. Simple to apply too.
