maximum is stated as 1.2A, (at 5V) but that will drop as it discharges. Hope that helps.

Yes, to the best of my knowledge it would connect to any modern Samsung mobile phone which all use the micro-USB connection like Blackberry handsets. An array of different connectors come with the device.
HOWEVER, I have been completely and utterly unimpressed with the charging ability of the PowerMonkey. The solar panel is useless and only charges SLOWLY in the brightest of conditions. In fact I've hardly used the thing since buying it. I spent £15 on a generic 20000mAh power pack instead and haven't looked back since. see less

Yes the solar charger can work separate, it will either charge your device or the power pack. It cannot do both at the same time.

it did on mine. you need to use the USB lead. It takes the power right out. I would buy a battery case for it though. Its easier to carry around, works better and its cheaper.

Not tried Chris but I very much doubt it. It has trouble charging my HTC One X smartphone, unless I turn it off. I think you would be better off getting a higher spec power pack, which is what I will be doing soon.

Hi Caroline. It is 2200mAh when fully charged, but for my iphone 3 I would suggest just 2 to 3 charges. Obviously the solar charger will top it up. Later smartphones will likely need more power. its not the best item either way. I took to everest and it didnt charge up much at all. Better to pay more for a larger solar panel.
