It's wonderful stuff and normally I wouldn't hesitate to say use it! But a wedding dress is precious. It will stop the static, don't use it too near the material, keep a foot or more away. It's never stained anything of mine or my nieces, but be sure first. Only give it a light misting, you don't need more than that.. Good luck. see less

I would think it would be ok to use on the slide and I also think it would be safe for children if used following the given instructions. I have only used it to stop clothing clinging to me. I shake the can then spray onto the inside of the clothing a distance away.
