I have read this before I bought our first acti fry ,but can only say we have had no problems and leave it unattended whilst in use regularly,as with anything electrical and producing heat I suppose it is possible but I wouldn't be without one

Paddle used at all times otherwise oil and juices would escape. Use less oil for chips. The only meat I cook are sausages and meatballs. Chicken etc sticks.
