This was brilliant. I was deaf with a 'swishing' noise in my ear. Used this about 6 times in a row (with warm water and bicarbonate of soda) and can now hear again. Was a massive relief, a bit messy but foolproof.

I pressed as quickly as I could, but saying that, it's not a big 'whoosh'. You have to be pretty patient - I had to repeat it appox 10 times and the wax came out painlessly.

I wouldn't advise it, but you could try. I put a trace of olive oil in a plastic bottle, lie on my side in bed, and gently tip it into my ear, and then remember I should have had a tissue ready to hand in case I mess up!

Even though the water comes from the sides I have been reluctant to apply too much pressure - but haven’t really had any result so far so it is hard to advise.
