I used the Urban rack to do a long distance charity bike ride, on the Canal network of the Midlands over three days, with a heavy load. No problems. A good buy and a good price.

Since it clamps to the seat tube I would think so. Just ensure that it will remain clear of the wheel when suspension is fully compressed. I only used mine on a road bike and it was fine.

I use a couple of cheap pannier bags purchased from Lidls, whilst not a perfect fit, if the straps are kept tight the bags are kept away from the back wheel. i do agree that the side supports are not really long enough.
