Answer:
Purchased an SG108E from Amazon last week (Aug 2016). Even though the product description states v2 specs they are still supplying old v1 products. I returned the item as a v1 is no good for my use case.

Answer:
The Sky Q hub has 1 output at the rear for Lan connection to your router. They will try to connect it wireless but Lan is faster. If it is too far to run a cable or not easy then use something like TP link through power lines. They work well. The item you are on about is just for connecting several Lan connection together.

Answer:
Only comes with a power cable. You'll need ethernet cables with it as they don't come with it.

Answer:
This is a gigabit switch, if your other devices support gigabit speed your connection will be faster but if any-one of the devices dropped down to 100mb then there is no benefit.

Answer:
I have the switch upstairs and run one of the ports to downstairs router without a problem (about 10 m run). The cat 5 recommended maximum is 50 m although in another place I have seen 80 m cables work satisfactorily but I wouldn't try that at home.

Answer:
I'm not sure what you're asking. It works well as a Gigabit switch in my experience.
